Denise holds her Masters Degree from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in Mental Health Counseling and is a practicing Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapy for a variety of clientele.
She provides therapy for individuals, particularly women and has experience working with clients struggling with PTSD, ADHD, grief, depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem and identity issues, as well as women who have experienced sexual abuse and its repercussions. She has also worked with a population of women with drug and alcohol addictions.
Denise also specializes in working with adolescents and marital counseling. She often combines cognitive behavioral therapy with Christian counseling with the hope and intention of identifying the root of the problem(s) vs. the presenting symptoms and then walking with the client towards their healing and wholeness.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 22 years, as well as her three young adult children. She has a love of the outdoors, reading and traveling as well as a special adoration of her “other” children — her boxer dogs.
